Twenty-Seventh Annual Dinner – 2025

The Officers and Board are pleased to announce that our 27th Annual Dinner meeting will be held on Friday, February 07, 2025. To register, please complete the Registration Form and send.
Place: The Palmetto Club 1231 Sumter Street Columbia, S.C. 20201
Social Time: 6:00 p.m. Dinner: 6:45 p.m.
Our program will be presented by our own Bart Mullin and Tony Chibbaro. Bart will discuss the Congressional Medal of Honor with emphasis on how to recognize it in photos, understand the variations for the different military branches, and the challenges for an appraiser to value something illegal to buy or sell in the United States. Tony will focus on Fort Sumter, one of the most historic places in South Carolina. He will showcase bronze medallions minted during the Civil War which commemorate the fort and the soldiers who took part in the war.
We will continue our Society’s tradition of bringing your own water/drinking vessels and we invite you to do the same. Should you wish to have a goblet provided for you, please let me know when you return your dinner reservation form.
Another Society tradition is to share your treasures with us. We would like you to bring A) a military medal (e.g., Medal of Honor, Bronze Star, Purple Heart) and/or B) a medal or medallion issued to commemorate a battle, a war, or any presentation medal of local interest. Be ready to share your interesting story about the item with everyone.

If you have not already done so, please include your dues with your reservation form ($30 for an individual and $45 for individual and one household member.
